Men's basketball advances to second round NCAA tournament game

Centre Men's Basketball vs. Rhodes SAA semifinals.03062014_Centre_BBall_LaGrange_34643Last night, the Centre College men’s basketball team defeated LaGrange College, 78-71, during the first-round NCAA tournament game on campus. The extremely enthusiastic home crowd sported white shirts as part of the campus “white-out” and were led in cheering the team by President Roush and First Lady Susie Roush (right), demonstrating the fiercely loyal school spirit and excitement behind this year’s tournament.
The men’s team will travel to Atlanta, Ga., to play Emory University on Saturday, March 8. A charter bus will be transporting students, faculty and staff to Saturday’s game free of charge, courtesy of the Student Life Office.
