Centre recognized in two national rankings

Centre has again been named one of the top colleges in the nation in a pair of national publications — The Princeton Review and Money.com.
In The Princeton Review’s Best Value Colleges for 2025 report, Centre appeared among the best of over 650 schools surveyed. The College’s return-on-investment ranking was based on criteria broadly covering three core topics: academics, affordability and career preparation.
“This reaffirms what we’ve long known to be true about Centre — investing in a world-class education pays dividends for a lifetime,” College President Milton C. Moreland said. “Centre prepares our graduates for success in their careers and to thrive in graduate school.”
Money.com ranked over 700 colleges and universities with a one-to-five-star rating, and Centre earned four-and-a-half stars.
This ranking followed similar criteria to The Princeton Review’s, focusing on academic excellence, affordability and outcomes. Centre also appears on Money.com’s Best Colleges in the South list.
Increasing access and affordability has been at the core of the Centre’s mission. In 2024, the College rolled out the Centre Promise, which pledges to meet the full calculated financial need of all incoming first-year students, highlighting this unwavering support.
“Cost should not be a barrier that keeps promising students from reaping the rewards of higher education,” Moreland said. “The Centre Promise allows us to help more students open the door to a brighter future.”
While on campus, students gain real-world experience working with award-winning faculty and studying and interning around the globe. With Career Exploration Communities and a strong alumni network, students are able to connect with industry professionals to explore postgraduate opportunities. As a result, 98% of Centre alumni are employed or enrolled in graduate school within one year of graduation.
“Centre graduates leave prepared to be a force in their communities with a strong academic foundation and impactful experiences gained through relationships, research and global study,” Moreland said. “This preparation starts on Day One. Our community of faculty, staff and alumni work together to ensure students have the confidence, connections and clarity to lead the world.”
The Princeton Review’s scores also factored in more than 40 data points and surveys of current students and alumni. Centre was one of the 209 schools given the Best Value Colleges recognition.
“We congratulate Centre along with all of the other exceptional institutions that made our 'Best Value Colleges for 2025', list," Rob Franek, Editor-in-Chief of The Princeton Review said. "They offer outstanding academics and excellent career services, and they demonstrate extraordinary commitments to affordability via generous financial aid. For all of those reasons — and more — we recommend them highly to college applicants."
