Phi Kappa Tau to host St. Baldrick’s event, April 12

The young men of Phi Kappa Tau (PKT) fraternity at Centre College will hold their annual St. Baldrick’s head shaving event on Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m. outside of the Campus Center. The fraternity has set a goal of $5,000 to generate funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Since 1999, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has organized efforts all over the world to fund research for childhood cancer and facilitate treatments for young people fighting this deadly disease.

Sponsors donate money to individual and team “shavees,” who have their heads shaved in solidarity with young cancer patients who frequently lose their hair during treatment.

Even if individuals don’t want to shave their head, the fraternity welcomes the campus community to enjoy an evening of music, raffles and other surprises.

Sign up and donate to the cause here. Cash and Venmo donations to @jackson-norris-2 are also accepted.
