Sights and Sounds: A Day With No Shoes

On April 10, students, faculty and staff at Centre went barefoot for the annual One Day Without Shoes, promoted by the TOMS Club on campus. One Day Without Shoes is supported by TOMS, a shoe company with a unique business model that requires a pair of shoes to be given to a child in need for every pair of shoes sold. Students also walked barefoot for a mile-long loop from the Campus Center through the heart of downtown Danville to raise awareness throughout the community. For this week’s Sights and Sounds, Elizabeth Berryman ’12 and Maddy DuPlessis ’14 speak about their experience on One Day Without Shoes.
