Summer Programs at Centre College
Centre College, a top-50 national liberal arts college, attracts bright, highly motivated students from across the country and around the world; 85 percent of its graduates have studied abroad at least once. Centre is committed to developing global citizens, and the summer programs we offer emphasize global diversity and awareness issues that are critical to any student preparing for higher education.
The two-week Summer Scholars program is for rising juniors and seniors who seek an enriching academic and leadership experience. The program is taught by Centre professors and includes content relating to global diversity and cultures, a philosophical look at puzzles and paradoxes, and the history of film. The goal of the program is to help students realize their potential, introduce them to a liberal arts atmosphere, and give them the tools needed to take positive action in improving our world.
Designed for rising first-year Centre College students, this on-campus leadership training experience will help you maximize your potential as a student leader at Centre. The one-week, intensive orientation will feature interactive workshops and activities focused on cultivating such traits as critical thinking, initiative, creative problem solving and communication skills — all the tools necessary to become a successful leader, both on campus and in your professional career beyond.
