Biography

Claire O’Quin joined the Centre College faculty in 2020.  O’Quin’s primary area of research involves investigating the genetic and developmental basis of various traits found in fish. O’Quin’s most recent research projects with Centre undergraduate students include testing new inquiry-based labs to include in the introductory biology course as well as measuring eye traits in Mexican blind cavefish.

O’Quin teaches the Introductory Biology Labs and is developing a new study away course focused on conservation and ecology in California’s National Parks.
