Meredith Bruner joined the Human Resources Office at Centre College in September of 2007 and currently serves as the Associate Director of Human Resources. Meredith is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Office, which includes supervision of the College’s payroll office, coordinating HR policies and programs with specific emphasis on benefits and compensation areas, employee training and onboarding, and a variety of other employment-related responsibilities. In addition, she works closely with the VP for Human Resources & Administrative Services in development, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions, and activities. 

Meredith is also the Regional Director of Southeast HERC (Higher Education Recruitment Consortium) and has been with HERC since January of 2018. HERC is a non-profit organization that advances inclusive excellence in higher education recruitment and retention. In this role Meredith supports member institutions with their workforce strategies from Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi. 

Meredith is a 2000 graduate of the University of the Cumberlands with a B.A in Business Administration with an emphasis in management and a minor in psychology. She also holds her SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification through HRCI.
