Lyricism and Leadership: History of Hip Hop Culture and Its Impact on the Community

It's the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop! Devine will share the origins of Hip Hop, what its music and culture has become in its first 50 years and his own poetic Hip Hop music and community activism. Appropriate for courses that address music creation, music history, social justice, sociology, anthropology, ethnomusicology, American history, art history, African American studies and wellness.
