Transportation

Not all students have cars, and we’re doing our best to make sure that doesn’t stop them from having the transportation they need.

Buses, Private Shuttles, Airports

Centre is happy to offer airport shuttle service to Lexington and Louisville airports (for a small fee). Shuttles need to be arranged in advance.

Shuttle Service Policy

  1. Shuttle dates are set for the academic year and are based on the academic calendar.  Shuttles run for opening and closing of school and for all college breaks. 
  2. WE WILL OFFER SHUTTLES ON THE SET DATES ONLY.  If you need a ride to/from the airport on a different date, you will have to schedule that independently and pay for it in full.
  3. NO LATE REQUEST WILL BE ACCEPTED.  If you do not request a shuttle before it closes, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
  4. Shuttle services are for students only.
  5. Students will be responsible for paying for one-half of the shuttle fee the college is charged.
  6. You will be charged a $35 fee for each shuttle to the Lexington airport.  
  7. You will be charged a $60 fee for each shuttle to the Louisville airport.
  8. All fees will be placed on your student account.  You may then pay your student account.
  9. A request needs to be entered for EACH shuttle needed.
  10. If you fail to submit a request, you will not be able to ride a shuttle.  The driver will only pick up those on the list given to them by Centre so scheduling a shuttle in advance is required.
  11. If you decide you will not be using the shuttle, it is your responsibility to notify the shuttle coordinator to cancel the shuttle at least 48 hours in advance.  If this notice is not given, you will still be charged the shuttle fee.
  12. If you enter wrong flight information and do not realize the mistake until the shuttle has begun, you will still be taken to the originally selected airport.  You will not be allowed to leave the vehicle until at the airport or returned to campus.  This is for your safety.
  13. No alcoholic beverages allowed during a shuttle.  No drinking before or during your shuttle is allowed.  The drivers have the right to refuse your shuttle if you have been drinking or if you exhibit behavior that will make the ride to or from the airport uncomfortable or dangerous.  You should respect the driver of the shuttle at all times.
  14. You are responsible for loading and unloading your luggage.  There is a limit of 2 checked bags per person.  If you have additional bags, there could be an additional fee added to your shuttle.

Bluegrass Ride (Community Bus Service)

All three routes connect at the Downtown Transfer Stop at Walnut & 3rd Street (225 W Walnut St) for easy, timed transfers.
