Study Abroad in Bhutan

Immerse yourself in contemporary Bhutanese lifestyle. Bhutan is a small country in South Asia, best known for coining the term “Gross National Happiness.”

The Centre-in-Bhutan program is an exchange with the Royal Thimphu College. Thimphu is the capital city and home to 100,000 inhabitants, including the royal family. The juxtaposition of ancient tradition and modernity make Thimphu the ideal location for students to immerse themselves in contemporary Bhutanese lifestyle.

Courses And Cost

  • DZG 101- Beginning Dzonghka Language
  • BHS 201- Cultural History of Bhutan or BHS 302- Political History of Bhutan
  •  INT 201- Internship
  • Plus 2 courses approved by Centre’s registrar’s office from a wide variety of courses offered at Royal Thimphu College

The estimated cost for each of these programs is the same as studying in Danville, plus a $400 non-refundable administrative deposit. Flights to and from the study site are also the responsibility of the student.
