BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Jennifer Gander is a Danville native and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Dr. Gander received her Master of Science in Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Gander received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of South Carolina and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Gander is a clinical and translational epidemiologist with more than 16 years of experience securing, managing, and advising on intramural and extramural funding. Dr. Gander’s extensive experience spans across federal-, industry-, and foundation-sponsored opportunities. Dr. Gander and the Office of Undergraduate Research supports faculty and students in their pursuit of knowledge, provides guidance and leadership on intramural and extramural funding opportunities, and aids researchers with grant proposal submissions, award management, project safety and compliance, industry collaboration, intellectual property protection, and international research engagement.
