BIOGRAPHY

As the Director of Student Athlete Success, Katie focuses on the holistic development of all student athletes, connecting them to the resources they need to be successful at Centre and beyond. In her role, she meets individually with student athletes who need extra support, executes a comprehensive plan to connect student athletes to campus programming, and collects and analyzes data on student success within the department. Katie is also a member of the Student Success Team.

Katie joined Centre in 2022 after working at several universities, most recently Eastern Kentucky University. Working with the Honors Program at EKU, she worked not only as an Assistant Director, but also a Program Coordinator and an eCampus Course Facilitator for the Professional Skills Development Seminar. Patton spent some time outside the state of Kentucky, graduating from the University of South Carolina as a Graduate Assistant (GA). While there, she worked inside the Academic Centers for Excellence as a GA for Academic Success Initiatives. Patton also had a secondary duty as an Academic Success Coach as well. After graduation, Patton had a stint at East Tennessee State University as an Academic Advisor for the Medical Professions Advisement Program.
