BIOGRAPHY
Laura started working at Centre in 2015. In 2021, she received the Kirk Award for excellence in teaching. She teaches all levels of Spanish language and courses in Latin American literature and culture. She has directed two Centre Term courses abroad: Brazil in 2018 with Dr. Flaherty-Echeverría, and El Salvador in 2020 with Dr. Eva Cadavid. Her published research deals with art, fiction, and graphic narratives from Central America. She is currently researching pedagogies that connect creativity with social justice in the language classroom.
