BIOGRAPHY

Tania Detweiler is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music, Guayaquil-Ecuador, conducting piano studies with Mrs. Alba de Calderon and Divina Icaza from 2003 - 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Computer Science in Systems Engineering from Holy Spirit University in Guayaquil in 1998. She also studied at the National Conservatory of Music “Antonio Neumane," as a piano major and member of the children choir and youth choir, 1982 - 2001.

  • Winner of the Concerto Competition and Guest Piano Soloist, Cave Run Symphony Orchestra, Morehead, KY, 2019.
  • Guest piano soloist for the Embassy of Ecuador in Chile performing for the celebration of Memorial Days at The Organization of United Nations in Chile, 2016.
  • Winner of the Youth Concert Competition organized by the Centro Ecuatoriano Alemán, Guayaquil, Ecuador, 1988.

  • Accompanist for a variety of instrumentalists and choirs, including the Social Security in Ecuador, where I was also the conductor of a choir of retired people, 2013-2017. 

  • Founder and Owner of “Al Compás”, a music store in Guayaquil, Ecuador which helps promote music in Ecuador, 2005 - present.

  • Participant and soloist in Master Classes given by Roberto Bravo, 2003.
