BIOGRAPHY

Tom Lachendro joined the Centre football coaching staff in the spring of 2022.

Lachendro came to Centre after a pair of successful seasons at Keiser University in Florida. While at Keiser, Lachendro served as defensive line coach and helped the team achieve a top 15 ranking in NAIA football in both seasons, including a no. 4 national ranking in 2020. Lachendro's Keiser teams reached the NAIA quarterfinals in 2021 and the semifinals in 2020.

Lachendro spent the prior five seasons at Kenyon College, where he played many roles, including defensive line coach, defensive run game coordinator, special teams coordinator and director of operations. He was promoted to defensive run game coordinator in 2019 after his Kenyon defense improved by averages of 95 yards, ten points and one sack per game the previous season.

A native of Scotland, Lachendro earned a degree in geography and a Master's in earth science from the University of Glasgow, where he played on the defensive line from 2010-16, and also competed internationally for Great Britain. He married his wife Vivienne in 2018.
