Centre Fusion & African Drum Ensembles

Centre Fusion performs a mixture of arranged and improvised material with strong jazz and rhythmic foundations, primarily in contemporary styles of American and world music. Although there is a focus on jazz and percussion instruments, all instruments are welcome in the ensemble. Centre African Percussion performs the more percussive music of Ghana and other West African countries. The ensemble uses authentic instruments such as torque, ashanti, and djembe drums to explore various styles, particularly those intended for dance and ritual.
