Dr. Chelsea Ebin will give a convocation talk based on her recently published book: The Radical Mind: The Origins of Right-Wing Catholic and Protestant Coalition Building. Dr. Ebin, formerly a professor at Centre College and now Assistant Professor of Politics at Drew University, studies the development of right-wing movements in the United States, with a particular focus on the Christian Right. Her work seeks to understand the proactive and forward-looking agendas of right-wing movements to identify better how these movements pose a threat to liberal democratic institutions and the provision of rights to historically underrepresented and oppressed groups. With the upcoming November election, Dr. Ebin's work offers insight into many of the most pressing issues of our time.
Not open to the public.
