Fellowship Resources
The Office of Fellowships is committed to making the fellowship application and mentoring process accessible to all campus community members. Centre alumni are also welcome to access information and seek advising from the office. We strive to make the resources available as clear as possible, but please notify us if you require other accommodations.
Online Resources
The Office of Fellowships is the primary on-campus resource for fellowship information and advising. However, all fellowship foundations have official websites (.org) where you can find the most up-to-date information about the fellowship(s) they sponsor. Additionally, there are many online databases to help students locate fellowship opportunities. For example, ProFellow.com is one such database. It holds a list of over 2,000 fellowships. Making a free account and adding details about yourself can help you narrow down the list of fellowships you are interested in and for which you are eligible.
You should never pay for fellowship advising or fellowship related workshops agree to pay for eligibility or information about a fellowship. Any such requests are unethical and unnecessary. Centre provides all information and fellowship advising to current students and alumni free of charge.
Supplemental Resources
The Office of Fellowships is your primary point of contact for all fellowship advising. The following offices provide resources and tools that may help you with parts of a fellowship application such as how to create a resume or how to sharpen your essay writing.
Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD)
The Center for Career and Professional Development guides students through the process of exploring and choosing careers; facilitates alumni engagement to further students’ career and professional development; and provides students and alumni with the tools and skills needed to access experiential opportunities and to achieve post-graduate success. The CCPD can assist you with the creation of resumes, CVs, cover letters, etc.
The Writing Center
The Writing Center offers one-on-one meetings between students and trained peer consultants to help at all stages of the writing process- planning, drafting, and revising. The Writing Center can be used as a supplementary resource when drafting and proofreading personal statements and essays for fellowship applications (as permitted by the fellowship).
