Engineering Objectives and Outcomes

The mission of the Centre College engineering program is to cultivate lifelong learners, in an inclusive learning environment, who integrate the broad perspectives of a liberal arts education with rigorous engineering principles and become leaders, contributing meaningfully to society and their profession.

Engineering Program Educational Objectives

  1. Centre engineering graduates will integrate a broad liberal arts education with a robust understanding of fundamental physical engineering principles.
  2. Centre engineering graduates will demonstrate career readiness and professional competence, lead with integrity in their fields, engage with their communities through service and collaboration, and apply interdisciplinary knowledge to solve complex problems.
  3. Centre engineering graduates will be able to create sustainable and equitable engineering solutions, evaluate the socioeconomic impact of their work, and advocate for equitable policies and practices within their professional communities.

Student Outcomes
