John C. Young Symposium - Session II

-

Vahlkamp Theater

The John C. Young Scholars program is a unique opportunity for high achieving senior students to engage in independent study, research, or artistic work in their major discipline or in an interdisciplinary area. These scholars work closely with a faculty mentor and receive financial support for research and travel. Each year the program culminates in a public symposium in which the scholars present their results. The day consists of two sessions comprising four individual presentations each. To ensure maximum engagement and attendance, we invite all attendees to stay for the entire session (9:30am-11:30am or 1pm-3pm). A formal invitation, with order of presentations and information about each scholar's project, will be emailed to the campus community shortly before the event.

Content Advisory:  To ensure students are aware of sensitive topics which may be discussed, we will require presentations to be prefaced by an advisory notice from either the student or faculty mentor. The research topics to be presented will cover a broad range of topics.
