White Rabbit Red Rabbit
by Nassim Soleimanpour
For three performances, March 20th, 21st, and 22nd, three different actors, Scarlet Cup Artistic Director Kristi Hughes (’98), performer/director/writer Patrick Kagan-Moore (Emeritus Professor of Theatre), and actor Jessica Wortham (’99), respectively, will walk on stage and stand in front of you to be handed a script they have never seen before.
Since it’s premiere in 2011, White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been translated into 30 different languages, performed all over the world thousands of times and received numerous awards and honors. In White Rabbit Red Rabbit, Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour challenges our expectations about theatre, personal responsibility and complicity, and dares us to experience what happens when we are fully present for each other.
All performances will be at CentreWorks.
Tickets are $25 for general admission, $10.00 for students
Professor Azita Osanloo, Chair of the Centre College English Program, will facilitate postshow discussions immediately following each performance.
Note: This play contains mature themes and language and makes reference to suicide.
